Prior to that in 2012 Automann installed a solar system in its former Somerset, NJ headquarters and distribution center with more than 1,000 solar panels generating over 300,000 kWh of electricity each year, eliminating over 400,000lbs of CO2 emissionsĪutomann plans on investing in solar technology in more of its distribution centers and currently participates in reducing their carbon footprint in other ways, that include: In May 2022 a solar system was installed at the New Lenox, IL Distribution center with over 1,400 solar panels that will product over 600,000 kWh of electricity every year, eliminating over 890,000lbs of cO2 emissions annually. Prior to this solar facility Automann previously installed two other solar systems.
The system is composed of over 3,500 450-watt monocrystalline modules and will produce over 1,800,000 kWh of electricity every year, offsetting more than 70% of the facility’s annual consumption and eliminating over 2,900,000lbs of cO2 emissions annually. footprint has completed the construction of its rooftop solar power system.
